BulauBulau means “to gallivant” in Atyal language. You would arrive in BulauBulau aboriginal village within 20 minute driving distance if you traced the stream along the river bed of Lo-Tong town, toward the direction of the callings from the mountains and clouds.

BulauBulau aboriginal village is located near Lo-Tong town at Han-shi village, Da-Tung township, Yi-Lan County. It is a terrace at an altitude of 400 meters. On this terrace, all agile and brave Tai-Ya youngsters hunt and cultivate according to the tribal traditions and the seasons their ancestors framed. All virtuous and intelligent Tai-Ya girls apply their creative ideas in decorating the village with natural materials.
